Okay, so I I opened my e-mail and saw the photo challenge is “water”.  Well, I’m on a cruise so I had better be able to come up with a photo of water.

I took this one this morning near Hubbard Glacier. The beautiful blue color comes from the Glacier ice melting. The gorgeous reflection of the mountain is thanks to a perfect, sunny sky.

The ship was surrounded by ice as we made a close approach to the glacier itself. Walking out on the deck, the ice floating and melting from the combined effect of sun and water made a snap, crackle and pop sound eerily similar to Rice Crispies.

  1. This is a great photo. You must be having a grand time! Enjoy your cruise.
