Word Play: Limerick

For writers, words are raw materials, tools and toys. We can build stories, worlds, characters and emotions using these building blocks. But let’s not take them too seriously. Words are also for fun.

I’m going to use Saturdays for fun word play. This week–a limerick.

There once was a cat named Zed

Who ruled the whole world in his head.

Mere humans did feed him,

They catered to each whim,

While Zed devised havoc from his bed.

Cats are funny. They always look at you as if it were the first time they saw you.
