Sunrise over Lake Huron

Recently I had the pleasure of visiting an old friend–my law school roommate who now lives in Port Sanilac, Michigan. She has a cottage on the shore of Lake Huron where we were treated to this beautiful sunrise. (Click on the photos to view the full size image)

What a treat to wake up to!

We had a perfect sunny day. Nothing short of a miracle for mid-November in this part of Michigan. We managed to see all the sights of Port Sanilac (yes–ALL–it was indeed a whirlwind tour of this busy metropolis) in one gorgeous sunny afternoon. I’ll post the photos from that afternoon another time.

So, let’s try a haiku in honor of the sunrise. Seventeen syllables in three lines.

Your haiku can be based on any of these pictures, or any sunrise you’ve ever seen.

  1. Hi Mike–

I peeked at your sunrise photos. Really good.

It’s amazing, isn’t it? All the colors we can find in the sky?

  2. Great colors. What a sky.
